HUNDREDS TURN OUT TO BOW STREET DEMO

Scores of supporters packed the streets and took part in the demonstration outside Bow Street Magistrates Court. Around 500 supporters demanded that Babar be given a fair, open trial or be released. Many media and camera crews turned up to the popular event which received the attention of passers by. Speakers at the event included ex-Guantanamo detainees Moazzem Begg and Martin Mubanga. As Babar's hearing continued inside the closed doors of the courtroom, protestors continued their support outside in a peaceful protest. His hearing has now been adjourned until Wednesday 20th April 2005, as the Court awaits the arrival of the Defence's American expert, Mr Thomas Loflin III.
